Protect Black Women’s Reproductive Rights
Black women should have the right to make decisions over their bodies, but state lawmakers who think otherwise are actively passing legislation to prevent women from doing so. According to the CDC, Black women suffer higher maternal mortality rates than white women. We need federal legislation to protect the right to access abortion care throughout the United States. In addition to maternal mortality, women of color and low-income communities are being affected by abortion restrictive laws due to out-of-pocket costs for traveling to other states that provide it.
The Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) is a bill that will provide equal access to abortion care for women across the country.
Reproductive Justice means economic and racial justice.
In order to address the attacks on abortion restrictive laws, we must enact a law that protects women’s freedom. Join us by urging senators across the country to give women back their right to reproductive autonomy –– their right to choose.
